Chester, Ethel

Mrs. Ethel Bernice Chester passed away in Salmon Arm, B.C. on March 15, 2003, at the age of 61 years.
A celebration of life service was held from the chapel of Bowers Funeral Home on Friday, March 21 at 11 a.m. with Norm Russell officiating.
Born in Milk River, on July 7, 1941. Ethel has been an active resident of the Salmon Arm-Canoe area since 1965. For years she was the assistant post master at Canoe, for more than 20 years the local librarian, and is well remembered for her compassion and loving manner, not only to her family, but her many friends.
She leaves to mourn her loving family, husband of 43 years, Ross Chester; three children, Chris (Shirley) Chester of Salmon Arm, Kim Chester of Salmon Arm, Terry (Tom) Radnai of Mission; six grandchildren, Melissa, Jessica, Aaron, Savanna, Brandon and Michael; also two sisters and one brother, Elizabeth Gold of Penticton, Susan Cerutti of Lethbridge and Alec (Ruth) Horvath of Creston.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Ethel’s memory may be sent to the North Canoe Community Association.
Funeral arrangements with cremation were in the care of Bowers Funeral Home and Crematorium, Salmon Arm.
