It is with great sadness that the family of Doug Gunderson announces his death on Sunday, Aug. 14, 2005, at home after a courageous battle with cancer at the age of 63 years. Doug was born on May 6, 1942, in Fort McLeod. He possessed a zest for life that was contagious to all and retained this spirit even throughout his illness. Doug will be lovingly remembered and missed by his wife Corrie; his children Ted (Deann) Hunt, Cindy (Tim) Lalach and Ken (Jan) Hunt; his grandchildren Macklin, Natasha, Timothy, Tyler, Tyson, Dakota, Sydney, Carson and Erin; his five sisters, Francis, Eleanor (Bob), Margaret, Donna (Lloyd), Gerry; his four brothers Gus (Allison), Bob (Joyce), John (Helen) and Lorne (Allie) as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Doug was predeceased by his parents, Gilbert and Agnes; his two sisters Bertha and Isabelle; and his two brothers Jude and George. Funeral services for the late Mr. Doug Gunderson will be held at the United Church in Fort MacLeod on Thursday, Aug. 18, 2005, at 2 p.m. with a luncheon to follow.
