Bradley, Violet Mary

Violet Mary Bradley passed away at Extendicare in Fort Macleod on Sunday, Sept. 3 at the age of 87 years.
Violet is lovingly remembered by her daughter Sandra (Bob) Kingston and by her son Robert (Linda) Ripley, both of Fort Macleod.
She is also survived by her grandchildren, Ron (Darla) Kingston of Fort Macleod, Heather (Todd) Brantner of Taber, Cheryl (Mark) Hellwig of Fort Macleod, Shannon Ripley of Vancouver, B.C. and Stephanie Ripley of Toronto; her great grandchildren, Lauren and Leanne Kingston, Peyton and Keegan Brantner and Torin and Kiara Hellwig; and by her step-sister Katherine Grannary of Kingston, Ont.
Vi was predeceased by her first husband Thomas Ripley in 1980; her second husband Lawrence Bradley in 1999; her great grandson Ryan Kingston; her step-brother Joe Grannary and by her brother George Reid.
Violet was born on May 31, 1919, in Quebec City. In 1943 she married Tom Ripley while he was stationed with the RCAF in Quebec.
After World War Two, they settled in Fort Macleod, where they raised their children. Tom passed away in 1980 and then in 1983, Vi married Lawrence Bradley.
Vi was an active member of Christ Church (Anglican) and the order of the Eastern Star. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren. Vi’s children invited family and friends to a celebration of her life at Christ Church Anglican, 320 21st St. Fort Macleod, on Thursday, Sept. 7, 2006, at 2 p.m. with Rev. Noel Wygiera officiating. Cremation.
