Jorgenson, Lorna Lenore

Lorna Lenore Jorgenson (nee Spicer) passed away gracefully in Claresholm on Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2006.
Lorna was born on Jan. 2, 1924 in Haney, B.C., and grew up on the Gulf Islands. She came to live on a farm east of Granum with her new husband John in 1946. John and Lorna retired to their home in Claresholm in 1992.
She is survived by her children, Brian of Granum, Madeline of Beiseker and Jacquie of Sechelt, B.C.; and her sisters Alisen of Peachland, B.C. and Jo of Mechosin, B.C.
Lorna was proud of her five grandchildren: Egan, Petra and Kristian (Jacquie and Warren); Rhys and Mandy (Madeline and Ray), as well as her many nieces and nephews. She also enjoyed the time she spent with her sisters-in-law. Her husband, John, and her sisters Trish and Vivien predeceased her. Lorna was very fond of the many relatives, friends and neighbours she left behind in southern Alberta and B.C.
All who knew her understood how passionate she was about reading the latest novel, gladiolas, bingo, crossword puzzles, Scrabble and her little dog, Mitzi.
A celebration of Lorna’s life will be planned at a future date. The family wishes to thank the wonderful staff at Claresholm General Hospital for the kind and gentle care she received during her stay there.
