Conner, Leroy Denzil

Leroy Denzil Conner, beloved husband of Allie Conner, passed away peacefully at the Chinook Regional Hospital, on Sunday, June 14, 2009, at the age of 84 years.
Besides his loving wife Allie, Roy is survived by his children Shirley (Walter) Klukus, Lorraine Fleming, Denzil Conner and Susan, Kevin (Sherrill) Conner, Peggy (Kelly) Donahue, Ron (Laurie) Conner, Jay (Corinne) Conner, Jodie (Budd) Van Driesten.
Roy is also survived by his 25 grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Roy was born in Lethbridge on June 26, 1924, and grew up in Monarch. He moved to Pincher Creek and resided there until 1949, when he moved to Fort Macleod to farm in the Rathwell district.
Roy married Allie Schmale in 1951 and together they had eight children. Roy and Allie retired from farming in 1989 and relocated to Fort Macleod. A memorial service will be held at Trinity United Church, 220 20th St., Fort Macleod, on Thursday, June 18, 2009, at 2 p.m. with Rev. Eras Van Zyl officiating.
