Larson, Dorothy

Mrs. Dorothy Larson, born Jan. 5, 1917, passed away in Fort Macleod on Friday, Oct. 23, 2009, at the age of 92 years, beloved wife of the late Henry (Hank) Larson.
Dorothy is survived by her sons Garry (Lorraine) and Gordon (Rosalie); grandchildren Diana (Daryl) Fridd, Andrew (Crystal) Larson, Ashley Larson; great grandsons Thomas and Quinten Fridd; nieces Rita Fish and Margaret Crowson; and nephews Kenny Crowson, David, Jock and Bill Mackay. Besides her loving husband Hank, Dorothy was predeceased by her parents Annie and Luther Crowson and brothers Eric and Walter Crowson. Dorothy and Hank were married on Oct. 16, 1940. Dorothy stayed active in the community of Fort Macleod, being a member and volunteer to Hospital Aid, Trinity United Church Lewis Auxiliary, Curling Club, Golf Club, Welcome Mat and various bridge clubs.
Hank and Dorothy lived in Calgary for three years before returning back to Fort Macleod.
Dorothy was an avid hobbyist with a special love for curling, fishing and golfing.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
