Federal election forum planned for April 27

Fort Macleod residents will have a chance Wednesday, April 27 to take the measure of the six local candidates in the federal election.
An election forum is set for 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 27 at Matthew Halton high school in Pincher Creek.
The forum is hosted by Livingstone school in Lundbreck and Matthew Halton high school.
Doors open at 7 p.m., with the forum to take place from 7:30-9 p.m.
The candidates in the Macleod riding are:

  • Conservative Ted Menzies, who is the incumbent MP for Macleod.
  • Liberal Nicole Hankel.
  • New Democrat Janine Giles.
  • Attila Nagy of the Green Party.
  • Marc Slingerland of the Christian Heritage Party.
  • Brad Carrigan of the Progressive Canadian Party.

The federal election is Monday, May 2.
Advanced voting will take place Friday, April 22, Saturday, April 23 and Monday, April 25.
