The children of Lorraine Ruth Trowbridge announce with great sadness, her passing on Friday, Oct. 4, 2013, at the Claresholm General Hospital from complications of multiple myeloma.
Lorraine was predeceased by her husband James in 1995. She is survived by their four children Bruce (Cindi), John, Judy (Mike) and Roy (Ruth); as well as 10 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Lorraine is also survived by her twin brother Leonard (Lynne) Bailey and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mom was born July 9, 1933 to Joe and Birdetha Bailey and lived in the Fort Macleod, Granum and Claresholm area. She was very generous to her family, friends and community. Mom belonged to many service clubs throughout her life and was especially proud of her accomplishments for the Fort Macleod Dialysis Unit. Mom loved to go camping and fishing and passed her skills to her grandchildren, leaving them with many happy memories. Her annual chocolate making was anticipated by all and her recipes are treasured.
It was Mom’s wish that no formal service be held. Donations, in her memory, may be made to the Fort Macleod Dialysis Unit.
Arrangements entrusted to Leyden’s Funeral Home, Claresholm. Phone 403-625-3212.
