Gazette judged best paper in Alberta competition

The Macleod Gazette was judged the best newspaper of its size in Alberta.
In addition to being judged Best All Around, the Gazette won a first-place award for Best Editorial Page and a third-place award for Best Sports Page.
The Alberta Weekly Newspapers Association presented its 2014 Better Newspapers Competition awards earlier this summer.
The Gazette placed first in Class A judging for Best All Around, followed by the Valleyview Valley News and Elk Point Review.
The Gazette placed first for Best Editorial Page, followed by Valleyview Valley News and Beaverlodge West County News.
The Valleyview Valley News placed first for Best Sports Page, followed by the Consort Enterprise and Macleod Gazette.
