Survey seeks input on Fort Macleod land use by-law

Fort Macleod business owners are encouraged to complete a survey on the Town of Fort Macleod’s land use by-law.
Coun. Brent Feyter told Chamber of Commerce members on Thursday the survey is a good way for them to influence planning.
“The land use by-law is critical in terms of planning,” Feyter said.
Feyter discussed the survey as part of his council report at the Chamber’s lunch meeting at the Town of Fort Macleod economic development office.
The 36-question survey is posted on-line at the Town of Fort Macleod Web site.
Copies are also available at the Town Office.
“It’s a good opportunity for businesses to give their input,” Feyter said.
The land use by-law, which was adopted in 1999, governs all development within the Town of Fort Macleod.
“Over the past 15 years the town has grown, new development practices have been adopted, and much has changed,” the survey preamble reads. “The land use by-law has been ready for a review and update for some time.”
