It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Jeffrey Daniel Lauer of Coleman, who passed away on Sunday, May 22, 2016, in Calgary at the age of 49 years.
Jeff was born Oct. 30, 1966 in Moose Jaw, Sask. to parents Wilma Grace Lauer and Daniel Lauer.
A devoted son, loving father and cherished brother as well as a friend to many, Jeff will be dearly missed and fondly remembered.
Jeff is survived by his mother, Wilma Grace Lauer of Glenwood; his father, Bill Van Buskirk Sr. of Coleman; his sons, Matthew Lauer and Dennis Lauer of Coleman; his siblings, Laura Lee Lauer of Glenwood, Bill Van Buskirk Jr. of Lethbridge and Barbara Gosselin of Willow Bunch, Sask.; his former spouse, Reylene Joinson of Coleman; his biological father, Daniel Lauer of Hope, B.C.; and his numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends that he made throughout his lifetime.
The ceremony honouring Jeff’s life was held on Sunday, May 29, 2016, at 12 noon at 386 Fourth Ave. N., Glenwood
