Country singer to perform at Empress Theatre

Donny Lee will hit the Empress Theatre stage April 27 with his two-hour Nashville style concert titled “The Best Of Country Music with Donny Lee.”
Lee’s concert in Fort Macleod gets under way at 7:30 p.m.
Lee will perform the most requested country hit songs from his Nashville show featuring favourites from Merle Haggard, Johnny Cash, Garth Brooks, George Strait and other country stars.
Lee will also perform a few of his own songs off of his latest album.
Lee will tell stories of his interesting experiences playing music in the famous honkytonks in Nashville.
Originally from Ontario, Lee has made Alberta his home for the past 25 years.
He has performed live country music since his early adult years and is writing and recording his own music in both Nashville and in Alberta.
Lee was an official contender in the nominee round for Male Artist Of the Year and Fans Choice Awards for 2017 with the Alberta Country Music Association.
Lee will perform with a full band featuring fiddle and steel guitar.
Lee introduced his first release to Canadian country radio in March 2017 with Country Way Of Life off of his album Who I Am, made up of seven original songs.
He followed that single with That Would Be Me, released in September 2017.
His third release to come in 2018 is called Another Round Of You written by Blake Shelton’s writing team.
