A 44-year-old man died Thursday following a head-on crash west of Fort Macleod on Highway 3.
Fort Macleod RCMP received a report about 6:45 a.m. Thursday of a two-vehicle collision on Highway 3 just west of Secondary Highway 810.
Const. Victoria Grimard said in a news release that a four-door sedan was eastbound on Highway 3 when it entered the oncoming westbound lane and collided with a pickup.
The eastbound automobile rolled into the ditch along the north side of the highway.
The male driver of the automobile was taken to Fort Macleod Health Centre where he was pronounced deceased.
The 38-year-old male driver of the pickup did not require medical assistance.
There was a brief delay in traffic moving along Highway 3 however this was quickly rerouted by Volker Stevin.
