Fort Macleod RCMP seek hit-and-run driver

A search is under way for a driver who smashed into an RCMP vehicle and fled the scene.
At about 5:15 p.m. Jan. 19 a red pickup with loud exhaust collided with an RCMP vehicle parked in the 500 block of 10th Street in Fort Macleod.
RCMP Sgt. Bryan Mucha said in a news release the collision appears to be the result of the vehicle sliding out of control on the icy street.
Witnesses reported a red pickup with loud exhaust leaving the scene eastbound towards Sixth Avenue.
Mucha said the truck may have damage to the driver’s side.
Damage to the RCMP vehicle was significant enough that it could not be driven.
Anyone with information can contact Fort Macleod RCMP at 403-553-7200 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or www.tipsubmit.com.
