Ghostbusters 2020 crew to film Saturday in Fort Macleod

Ghostbusters 2020 returns to Fort Macleod for one more day of filming Saturday, Sept. 7.
Tentative plans on Friday were to begin filming about 12 noon Saturday on Second Avenue, between 23rd Street and 24th Street (Main Street).
“This is a quickly developing scenario and will continually be adjusted for smaller details as we go,” location manager Laszlo Uhrik wrote in an e-mail message.
Crews are returning to Fort Macleod to re-film a scene shot last month.
According to Uhrik, filming will take place only on Second Avenue between 23rd Street and 24th Street.
A street closure will be in effect for the duration of filming.
Traffic will be detoured on Third Avenue.
Main Street will remain open for traffic and parking.
The intersection of Second Avenue and Main Street will be controlled to route traffic. Only northbound turns will be allowed from Main Street onto Second Avenue.
A section of Main Street on the west side of Second Avenue will be used for staging of grip equipment.
Uhrik said work will begin about 10 a.m. and end about 8 p.m. Saturday.
The film unit will park at the Fort Macleod Curling Club. A few trucks will be parked behind the Queen’s Hotel.
