Joyce Lorraine Hooker (nee Thompson) passed away on Saturday, Sept. 14, 2002.
Joyce was born at Fort Macleod to Mart and Molly Thompson, a sister to Chuck and Ray Thompson, Dorothy Asuchak, Fran Jenkins and Merle Krasnicki.
In 1952 she married Ross Hooker. Together they had three children, Jamee, Perry and Brady. Joyce was a grandmother to six grandchildren.
In 1962 they moved to Oshawa, Ont.
She was an active member in the Rebekah Lodge for more than 30 years.
Besides her family, Joyce enjoyed gardening, especially her flower beds. She tackled and mastered many crafts — rug hooking, crocheting, knitting, quilting, just to name a few.
Joyce had a real zest for life. her capacity for love and kindness knew no bounds. It radiated from her to everyone she came in contact with.
She will be so sadly missed by her family and friends.
For nothing loved is ever lost and she was loved so much.
