Duncan Grant — 1936-2003


On February 24th, 2003, Duncan Roy Grant of Edson and formerly of Fort Macleod, beloved husband of Phyllis Anne, passed away at the age of 67 years.
Besides his loving wife Phyllis Anne, Duncan is survived by his loving family: son Bill and wife Ann-Marie and their children Sarah and Terri of Grande Prairie; daughter Laurie Davis and husband Dan and their children Rick (Monica), Ryan, Erin and Megan of Fort Macleod; son Robert and wife Maria and their daughter Tina, of Calgary; daughter Kelly Grant of Edson; and son Casey Grant also of Edson; and his late son Roderick’s children, Brendan (Lindsay) Grant of Fort Macleod and Darrell (Marina) Grant of Iron Springs.
Duncan is also survived by his mother Mrs. Sarah Marsh of Fort Macleod; his brothers Keith (Barbara) Marsh of Lethbridge and Larry (Diane) Marsh of Fort Macleod.
There are numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends left to mourn as well.
Duncan was predeceased by his son Roderick Charles in 1999, grandson Eric in 1986, his father Roderick in 1944, his sister Linda Train in 2000 and his stepfather Albert Marsh in 2001.
Funeral service for Duncan Grant took place on Saturday, March 1, 2003, at 11 a.m. at Christ Church, Anglican in Fort Macleod with interment in Union Cemetery, Fort Macleod. Rev. Noel Wygiera officiated.
A memorial service was held in Edson at the Royal Canadian Legion Hall on Thursday, March 6, 2003, at 11 a.m., Father Richard Conrad officiating.
