Millie Dodd — 1922-2003


Mildred (Millie) A. Dodd (nee Urness), beloved wife of Mr. Lester Dodd of Calgary, passed away peacefully at the Father Lacombe Nursing Home on Thursday, March 6, 2003, after a valiant struggle with Alzheimer’s at the age of 81 years.
Millie loved gardening, music and, most of all, her family.
Besides Lester, her loving husband of 56 years, Millie is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Ken Burgess of Penhold, Alta.; and one son and daughter-in-law, Maury and Connie Dodd of Calgary; as well as two grandchildren, Amanda and Kaleigh Burgess; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Memorial services were held at McInnis and Holloway’s Fish Creek Chapel on Tuesday, March 11, 2003, at 2:30 p.m. Graveside service was to follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery, “Field of Honour” at a later date.
