Trudy Goldenbeld — 1927-2003


With great sadness we announce that Trudy Goldenbeld passed away peacefully at Extendicare, Fort Macleod on Saturday, Jan. 18, 2003, at the age of 76 years.Trudy was born in Holland and immigrated to Canada in 1949 to the Monarch area. It was here she met and married Hank Goldenbeld. In 1956, they moved to a farm south of Fort Macleod with their two sons.Trudy resided on the farm until Hank’s passing in 1979. At this point, she moved to Fort Macleod where she lived for the remainder of her life.Trudy was an active member of the United Church Women and the Allied Arts Society.Trudy will be sadly missed by her sons Larry (Gloria) Goldenbeld of Calgary and Gerald (Caroline) Goldenbeld of Fort Macleod; and by her two granddaughters: Jayme Goldenbeld of Lethbridge and Kandice Goldenbeld of Fort Macleod.She will also be missed by her sister Riet Christman of Monarch and by her two brothers Herman (Rie) Kruitbosch of Medicine Hat and Fred (Wijke) Kruitbosch of Redcliff.
A memorial service was held at Trinity United Church, Fort Macleod, on Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2003, at 3 p.m., with Rev. Aldeen McKay officiating. Cremation.
