Eleanor Myers — 1910-2004


Eleanor Myers passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Aug. 31, 2004, at the age of 94 years with her family at her side. Eleanor was a resident of Fort MacLeod Extendicare.
She is survived by her son Ronald (Karen) of Bend, Oregon, and daughter Lois (Bob) Vance of Pincher Creek. She leaves four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Eleanor was born in Bawlf and raised in Killam before moving to Vancouver in 1915. She received her education becoming a secretary for Vancouver School Board at the age of 17.
In 1953 the family moved to Los Angeles where she was executive secretary for real estate boards for the rest of her career. In 1980 she returned to Canada to live by her daughter Lois and Bob in Pincher Creek. In 1995 she moved into Crestview Lodge, and in 1999 to Extendicare in Fort Macleod until her passing.
Eleanor was very involved in Trinity Lutheran Church as a member and volunteer. She always loved crafts.
A private family interment will take place in Burnaby, B.C. Flowers gratefully declined. Memorial donations in memory of Eleanor may be made to Alzheimer Society c/o Ames’ Insurance, Box 1537 Pincher Creek, T0K 1W0. Special thanks and appreciation to the loving staff of Extendicare.
