Calvin Earl Holland was born March 26, 1931 in Bredenbury, Sask., the 10th
child of 13 children born to Martha and Calvin Roy Holland. Everyone knew
him as Earl.
Earl left home at the age of 14, came to Alberta and worked for his
brother-in-law Albert Marsh on the transport in Vulcan, and also worked
construction. Then he did many years of long-haul trucking.
Earl was a happy-go-lucky person who lived his life to the fullest. He loved
to sit with his sisters and chat about "the good times," as he would put it.
He loved to tell you stories of his trucking days.
Earl's retired years were short. He spent time with his horses at an acreage
outside of Lethbridge.
Interment will take place at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 31 at Fort Macleod Union
