Jack Havinga, beloved husband of the late
Minnie Havinga of Fort Macleod, passed away at Fort Macleod on Sunday, Sept.
23, 2007, at the age of 88 years.
Jack is survived by his children Bill (Jenny) Havinga of Lethbridge,
Ann (Martin) Reedyk of Three Hills, Marion (Gord) VanGaalen of Edmonton,
Glenn (Shirley) Havinga of Edmonton, Renee (Charlie) Vande Kamp of Surrey,
B.C. and Mark (Noreen) Havinga of Lethbridge; 19 grandchildren; 19 great
grandchildren; and three brothers.
Jack was predeceased by his wife Minnie, five sisters and one
brother.
Jack arrived in southern Alberta and settled in the Granum area. He
raised his family on a farm near the Oldman River. Jack was devoted to God
and his church.
Visitation will be held at Eden's Funeral Home on Friday, Sept. 28,
2007, from 7:30-8:30 p.m.
Memorial service will be held at the Granum Christian Reformed
Church on Saturday, Sept. 29, 2007 at 2 p.m. with Pastor Jim Zondervan
officiating. Private interment will take place prior to the service in the
Granum Christian Reformed Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Jack's memory
to Fort Macleod Hospital (Community Support Beds), Box 1866, Fort Macleod,
