The family of Julia (Houbregs) Bourdier is
deeply saddened to announce her passing at the Fort Macleod Extendicare on
March 17 at the age of 91 years.
She will be joining her husband Lucien and will be remembered with
profound love by her family: Valerie Malone of Strathmore; Louis (Barbara)
Patterson of Pincher Creek, Georgene (Neil) Hunter of Strathmore; Emily
Brucks of Calgary; Geraldine Novlesky of Lethbridge and Lucille (Wyatt)
Martin of Cowley; as well as 13 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren;
numerous nieces, nephews and "her dearest friend" Alice Davies of Lethbridge.
Julia was born to Louis and Valerie (Cajot) Houbregs on July 3, 1915 in
Blairmore.
She was predeceased by her husband Lucien; her two brothers Jolette
(John) and Phillip; and three sisters Marie, Florentine and Emily (Minnie).
Julia was a lifetime member of the Royal Purple Blairmore, a
graduate from TOPS to KOPS, Pincher Creek and was a pillar of the community.
Her pastimes included crocheting, playing cards and visiting with
her many friends. Mom, we will miss you so much. We love you.
To all the staff at Extendicare who mom grew to love and cherish as
one of her own, she wished to thank you for making her life so enjoyable
with lots of laughter, care and love. From her family, you are so
appreciated. Words cannot express our gratitude. Thank you.
A celebration of Julia's life will be held in the Cowley and
District Hall on Saturday, March 24, 2007, at 2 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cowley and

Extendicare, Box 189, Fort Macleod, T0L 0Z0.
