Mary Kathleen Beattie— 1903 - 2007

   Mary Kathleen Beattie of Fort Macleod passed away peacefully at the age of 103 years at the Pincher Creek Health Centre on Monday, April 30, 2007, to be with the Lord.
   Mary is the loving mother of Ken (Joan) Beattie of High River and Corinne (Elvin) Collins of Okotoks.
   She is also survived by her brother Roddy Hilliard, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
   Mary was predeceased by her husband Fred; her sons Donald and Cyril; her daughter Kathleen Davis; grandson Larry Collins; and by her granddaughters Penny Davis and Yvonne Gregoire.
   Mary was born on May 9, 1903, in Lethbridge, the proud daughter of Corinne and North West Mounted Police Staff Sergeant Christopher Hilliard.
   Mary married Fred in 1928 and they lived in Fort Macleod and Turner Valley.
   Mary returned to Fort Macleod and lived there until her passing.
   Mary will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed.
   A prayer service was held at Holy Cross Catholic Church (2618 Third Ave. Fort Macleod) on Thursday, May 3, 2007, at 7:30 p.m.
   Funeral mass was held at Holy Cross Church on Friday, May 4, 2007, at 2 p.m. with Father Ben Marino officiating.
   Viewing took place at the church beginning at 1 p.m., prior to the service. Interment followed in Union Cemetery.
