Victor Martin J. Cesar, born Oct. 18, 1928,
passed away peacefully at the Peter Lougheed Hospital on Monday, June 4,
2007, at the age of 78 years.
Vic is lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his wife Eileen;
daughters Anita (Jen) Lew of Calgary, Denene Gallant of Calgary and Sherry
(Glen) Trotter of Fort Macleod; his grandchildren Mackenzie Lew, Kaylee and
Kirsten Gallant, Zach and Brooke Trotter; and also two girls and families
that have always been near and dear to Vic's heart as his own, Kerry (Dave)
Green of Calgary and their children Ashly and Kyle, and Tami (Mike) Ruark of
Calgary and their children Matthew and Jocelyn.
Vic is also survived by his brother Ed Cesar of Claresholm; his
sisters Rose Duce of Granum, Clara Byer of Granum, and Kaye Duncanson of
Calgary; sister-in-law: Donna Wesley of Calgary; his brother-in-law Gordon
Quick of Fort Macleod and by numerous nieces and nephews.
We are especially thankful to Jeanne and Lee Cesar of Granum for
their constant love and support for their Uncle Vic always.
Vic was predeceased by his parents Angela and Frank Cesar; brothers
and sisters-in- law; George and Joan Cisar, Frank and Maxine Cesar;
sister-in-law Francis Cesar and also by his in-laws Laura and Edward Quick.
Vic's true passions in life were the outdoors, and children. He was
known to all as "Uncle Vic," and he called all he knew by "Tiger," "My
little friend" and "My sweaty pal. " Mainly we believe because there were so
many he could not possibly remember all their names.
Vic and his brother Ed ran a trap-line for many years up Racehorse,
Dutch Creek, and the Old Man. Vic was so very proud that a parcel of land
was named in their honor "Cesar Flats" Up Dutch Creek. Many great and
memorable years were spent up there with close friends and family. For those
who know him well, know he was at home in the mountains.
For those who would like to share your fond memory of a time with
Uncle Vic, please mail your story to Box 191, Granum, Alta., TOL 1A0.
At Vic's request there will be no funeral or memorial service. A
celebration of his life will be held at a later date with family and close
friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Vic Cesar
directly to Wilderness Ranch ‹ a camp for kids ‹ at Wilderness Ranch, In
memory of Vic Cesar, P.O. Box 1804, Claresholm, T0L 0T0.
