Edith Hodnett— 1934 - 2008

   Edith Hodnett, beloved wife of the late Phil Hodnett, passed away in Fort Macleod on Friday, March 28, 2008, at the age of 73 years.
   Edie was born in Germany on July 23, 1934. At a young age, Edie immigrated to Canada. Her first job was at the Java Shop and then the CIBC. Edie met Phil Hodnett and they married in 1956. Edie worked alongside her husband at Hodnett’s Pharmacy for many years. She was a member of the Eastern Star.
   They had two children, Christel and Rennie and one grandson Blake. Edie was predeceased by her son Rennie; her husband Phil; and her mother Irmgard.
   She is also survived by her sister and two brothers and their families in Germany.
   Memorial service will be held at Eden’s Funeral Home, Fort Macleod, on Thursday, April 3, 2008, at 11 a.m. with Rev. Eras Van Zyl officiating. If friends desire, memorial donations may be made in Edie’s memory to Alzheimer’s Society, Lethbridge Area, 426 Fifth St. S., Lethbridge, T1J 2B7, the Canadian Diabetes Association, c/o the Fort Macleod drug stores or to your local food bank.
