Our beloved mother and grandmother Nellie
Voutier died on Thursday, May 15, 2008 at Rosewood Villa in Fort Macleod.
Nellie was born on Oct. 27, 1916 and lived in the Baintree,
Nightingale and Strathmore districts until March of this year when her
declining health necessitated a move to long term care.
She is survived by her three children, Ellen (Eugene) Helfrich, Ken
(Anne) Voutier and Audrey (Bob) Archambault; eight grandchildren, Greg
(Jeanette) Helfrich, Denise (Gerald) Joel, Warren (Kelly) Helfrich, Glenda
(Earl) Sorensen, Wade, Nicole, Ryan and Natalie Archambault; seven great
grandchildren, Kira and Chelsey Joel, Lyndsay Helfrich, Ben, Ainsley and
Graden Sorensen and Jacob Helfrich.
Nellie is also survived by six brothers and sisters, Peter Den
Boer, Irene Hallowes, Hank (Barbara) Den Boer, Bill (Margaret) Den Boer,
Edith Kathol, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Nellie’s husband Roy died in 1988. She also lost her sister Mary
Manning and an infant great grandson Brett Helfrich in 1993.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 23, 2008, at
Strathmore United Church at 11 a.m. Rev. Eras Van Zyl officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made directly to the United
Church of Canada in either Strathmore or Fort Macleod.
