On Thursday, Sept. 24, 2009,
Mrs. Edythe McLean of Moose Jaw passed away peacefully at the age of 94.
With the exception of six years, she lived all of her life in Moose
Jaw. Edythe had a life-long love of music and was a longtime member of
the Moose Jaw Philharmonic Choir as well Minto Church Choir. During her
life, she loved camping, and swimming and continued to swim until just a
couple of years ago.
Edythe will be sadly missed by her son Don and his wife Sandy
McLean of Cold Lake; her six grandchildren; six great grandchildren; two
great great grandchildren; sister Norah Huber of Victoria, B.C.; brother
Harry Urwin of Fort Macleod; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Edythe is predeceased by her husband Ken McLean in 1961, daughter
Barbara Newstead in 1997, and great granddaughter Denise in 1982. A
memorial service was held at W.J. Jones and Son Chapel on Wednesday,
September 30, 2009, at 11 a.m. with Rev. John Carley officiating. Edythe
was laid to rest with her husband Ken at Rosedale Cemetery. For those so

In living memory of Edythe, a tree will be planted in Besant Park
by W.J. Jones and Son Funeral Home.
