J.R (Bob) Brown of Fort
Macleod, born March 15, 1933, beloved husband and dear companion of Alda
(Church) Brown, passed away peacefully at the Chinook Regional Hospital
in Lethbridge on Saturday, Feb. 6, 2010, at the age of 76 years.
Besides his loving wife Alda, Bob is survived by his loving
children Kerry (Sharon) Brown of Calgary, Lorianne (Colin) Fennell of
Grand Forks, N.D., Lisa (Geoff) Tywoniuk of Calgary; 11 grandchildren,
Breanne, Lyndon, Brendan and Shaelyn Brown, Bryce, Chase, Danae, Blake
and Nicole Fennell, Wade and Paige Tywoniuk; brother George (Mary Lou)
Brown of Fort Macleod; brother-in-law Charles (Shirley) Snyder of
Didsbury; sister-in-law Frances (Doug) Umfleet of Newberg, Oregon; as
well as many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
Bob was predeceased by his parents Georgena (Davis) and Frank
Leslie Brown, and Sister Gloria Georgena Snyder.
Bob lived a very full life, the last few years enduring two cruel
diseases, Alzheimer’s and Myasthenia Gravis.
A viewing will be held from 10 a.m. to 12 noon, on Saturday, Feb.
13, 2010, at Eden’s Funeral Home, 2424 Fifth Ave., Fort Macleod, with an
open house wake from 1-5 p.m. at Alda’s residence, 159 16th St. Fort
Macleod.
Memorial donations may be made in Bob’s memory to the Alzheimer
Society of Lethbridge, 402-740 Fourth Ave. S., Lethbridge, T1J 0N9 or to
a charity of one’s choice. |
