Dunbar, Doreen Louise

Doreen Louise Dunbar passed away suddenly at her home in Fort Macleod on June 6, 2002 at the age of 68 years.
Doreen is survived by her uncle and aunt, Clarence and Jean Dunbar of Calgary; her aunt Maud Brosius of Wetaskiwin; her uncle Robert Black of Fort Macleod and numerous cousins and their families.
She was predeceased by her father David Dunbar on June 13, 1984, and by her mother Irene Dunbar on Sept. 27, 1984.
Doreen was born at High River on Oct. 8, 1933, and she moved to Fort Macleod as a very young child.
She obtained her schooling in country schools, finishing her high school in Fort Macleod.
Doreen went to work for CIBC in 1952 and worked there until her retirement in 1984. She was an active member of the Jolly Howes and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Royal Canadian Legion, Fort Macleod Branch.
Doreen will be remembered by all as a caring and giving person.
A funeral service was held at Eden’s Funeral Home, Fort Macleod, on Tuesday, June 11, 2002, at 2 p.m. with Rev. Aldeen McKay officiating.
Interment followed in Union Cemetery.
