Jensen, Evelyn

Passed away on Thursday, April 25, 2002, at Nanaimo, B.C. at the age of 74 years, Evelyn Aurora Jensen (nee Bourassa), beloved wife of Al Jensen of Nanaimo, B.C.
Ev was born near Fort Macleod on July 23, 1927, the third child of Leodas and Jeanette Bourassa. She grew up and received her education in Fort Macleod, where she later worked for Canada Post.
She married Const. Alexander Jensen on July 9, 1952. She then moved to various points in British Columbia, eventually settling at Nanaimo.
Besides her loving husband Al, Ev is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Linda Macey (Bill) of Nanaimo and Anita Jensen of Horsham, West Sussex, England; and one son Stephen of Nanaimo; and two grandchildren, Jamie and Alea Macey of Nanaimo.
She is also survived by two sisters, Beatrice McMurren (Robert) of Lethbridge, and Annette Seymour (Harold) of Claresholm; four brothers, Harvey (Kaye) and George (Margaret) of Fort Macleod and Albert (Irene) and Laurence (Rita) of Lethbridge; and sister-in-law Gloria Bourassa of Fort Macleod.
She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, cousins and aunts.
Ev was predeceased by two brothers, Edgar and Leo, and her parents Leo and Jeannette Bourassa.
A memorial service will be held at Holy Cross Church, Fort Macleod, on Thursday, May 16, 2002 at 11 a.m. with Father Joseph Roy officiating.
A time of fellowship will follow the service at the Knights of Columbus Hall.
