Boot, Bart

Surrounded by his loving wife and all 13 children, our loving husband, father and opa, Bart Boot, went to join his Lord and Savior on August 24, 2003, at the age of 68 years.
Bart was born in the Netherlands on March 5, 1935. He was raised in Haamstede where, in 1961, he met and married his wife Willy. In 1978, together with 10 children, Bart and Willy immigrated to Canada where they completed their family with three more children.
Through hard work and the Lord’s blessings, Bart and Willy established a successful farming operation southeast of Fort Macleod. Recently they retired to an acreage, where Bart enjoyed woodworking, gardening and entertaining his grandchildren.
Bart is survived by his wife Willy (Timmers); his children, Mark (Sherry), Eric (Vera), Jake (Jenny), Mary-Louise Slomp (Don), BJ (Christy), Henry (Christy), John (Evelyn), Ralph (Cora-Lee), Cor-Jan, Maurice (Jaime), Natalie, David and Stephen; 30 grandchildren; two brothers and three sisters.
Bart was predeceased by one grandchild, Lukas Eric.
Although Bart will be sadly missed by his family and friends, we are comforted by the fact that he is with the Lord and one day we will see him again.
A funeral service will be held at Trinity Reformed Church, 1100 40th Ave. N., (Hardieville) Lethbridge, Alta. on Friday, Aug. 29, 2003, at 1:30 p.m. with Pastor Jack Schoeman officiating. Interment in Union Cemetery, Fort Macleod.
