Collar, Kathleen Cecelia

Kathleen Cecelia Collar, beloved wife of Bud Collar of Fort Macleod, was born on Jan. 26, 1942 in Black Diamond, Alta. and passed away on Sept. 23, 2003, at Fort Macleod.
Kathy is survived by her husband of 37 years, Melvin (Bud) Collar; her son Jerry Brent (Jill) of Stony Plain, Alta.; her daughter Jana Lynn of Lethbridge and by her five grandchildren: Amanda, Payton, Ryan, Declan and Gabrielle.
She is also survived by her mother Kathleen McIntyre, her sister Mary Bailie and her brother John (Bev) McIntyre.
Kathy was predeceased by her father Jack McIntyre.
Kathy began nursing at the Fort Macleod Hospital on March 1, 1964, and she graduated from Holy Cross Hospital in Calgary on Oct. 18, 1964.
Kathy retired from the Fort Macleod Hospital in Jan. 2000. She was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Ladies Auxiliary, transferring to this branch in 1983 and remained an active member for 20 years.
A memorial service was held at Eden’s Funeral Home, Fort Macleod, on Friday, Sept. 26, 2003, at 2 p.m. with Jack Cullen officiating.
