Rose Eva Moore passed away on Jan. 12, 2003, at the Red Deer Regional Hospital at the age of 84 years. Rose was born on June 2, 1918 in Allan, Sask.
Rose was predeceased by her loving husband Bob in 1990, her sister Doreen, her brother Jack and her brother-in-law Jack.
She is survived by her two daughters, Donna (Allan) of Calgary and Brenda (Dennis) of Red Deer; two grandchildren, Tisha and Bryan; three brothers, Ted (Doris), Ron (Amy) and Edwin; by six sisters, Anne (Henry), Irene (Don), Margaret, Bernie, Kathleen and Helen; and by sister-in-law Anne.
Bob and Rose were married on Nov. 26, 1947 in Saskatoon, Sask. in a special joint ceremony with her sister Anne (Henry).
After living in Gull Lake and Claresholm, they settled in Fort Macleod in 1964. In 1998, Rose moved to Red Deer to be close to her family.
Rose was a wonderful cook and enjoyed being with family and friends. She loved to go for drives in the country, playing cards and a good “half” cup of coffee.
A funeral service was held at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Fort Macleod, on Friday, Jan. 17, 2003, at 2 p.m. with Father A. Fermo officiating. Interment in Union Cemetery.
