Robinson, Jean

Jean Robinson of Fort Macleod, beloved wife of the late Wayne Robinson, passed away peacefully on Monday, Nov. 10, 2003, at the age of 78 years.
Jean, the daughter of Charles and Maude Lafferty, was born and raised in Raymond, Alta. She joined the C.W.A.C. and was stationed at Suffield. Jean married Wayne Robinson in 1945. They settled in Magrath and resided there until 1967, when the family moved to Fort Macleod.
Jean will be dearly missed by her children, Gary (Carol Ann), Dorothy (Gerry), Linda, Bonnie, Clark (Ibolya), Donald and Robert; her sisters, Lucille and Freda; and by her brothers, Dennis (Ruth), Bob (Dorothy) and Bill; as well as 12 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Jean was predeceased by her mother and father; her husband Wayne; her daughter Renee; her son John; her brothers, Max, Harry and Watson; her sisters, Margaret and Louvenia.
Jean was a dedicated member of the community, spending countless hours at the Fort Macleod Extendicare and at Trinity United Church as a long-time member of the UCW. She was recognized by the Chamber of Commerce for her volunteer work and was named Citizen of the Year in 2001.
A Celebration of Jean’s life was held at Trinity United Church, Fort Macleod on Saturday, Nov. 15, 2003 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Aldeen McKay officiating.
