Heath, N. Jessie

N. Jessie Heath (Litle), beloved wife of the late W.H. (Bert) Heath of Fort Macleod, passed away in Lethbridge on Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2004, at the age of 92 years.
Jessie was born in Fort Macleod (then known as Macleod) on May 15, 1911, and she received her education in Fort Macleod.
In 1930 she moved to Calgary to study for a career in nursing at Calgary General Hospital. Jessie served with the Canadian Armed Forces at the Suffield Experimental Station during World War Two. She worked at High River Hospital before returning to Fort Macleod.
In 1949 she married Bert Heath and they resided on the Heath farm in South Macleod. Dancing brought Jessie and Bert a great amount of enjoyment and Jessie loved to travel to all corners of the world.
Bert predeceased her in 1984. Jessie then lived in the Carriage House until moving to Pioneer Lodge in 1999. She was residing at Rosewood Villa at the time of her passing.
Jessie was predeceased by her husband, Bert; her father Harry Litle in 1943; her mother Annie Litle (Perry) in 1970; two brothers, Jack in 1965 and Art in 1972 and also by several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Jessie is survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A funeral service was held at Christ Church Anglican, Fort Macleod, on Monday, March 1, 2004, at 2 p.m. with Rev. Noel Wygiera officiating. Interment in Union Cemetery.
