Tolley, Steven Jesse

Steven Jesse Tolley, beloved husband of Rachel Hannah (Puzey), passed away peacefully at his home, with his family at his side, on Wednesday, May 12, 2004, at the age of 25 years. Steven fought a long and courageous battle with cancer.
He will be sadly missed by his wife, Rachel; as well as his parents Verl and Irene Tolley of Fort Macleod, and David and Myrna Puzey of Champion; his siblings: Michelle (Todd) Thompson, Jennine (Wade) Hollingshaus, Travis, Carlye (Richard) Lynnes, Danica, Gavin, Devon, and Keeven, and Lalainia Puzey (Jason) Atwood, David (Charmaine) Puzey, Jared (Amber) Puzey; and his nephews and nieces: Tiia, Kyle, Renee, Meili, Cora, Leah, Ashton and Emry; his grandmothers: Pearl Tolley of Fort Macleod, and Jenny Peet of Australia, along with many other extended family members.
Steven graduated from F.P. Walshe school and was studying education at the University of Lethbridge when he was diagnosed with cancer. He served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Marseille, France. His church was a major part of his life.
Steven loved life and lived it to the fullest. His sense of humour carried him through his tough times. He loved rugby and played at a very high level, and when he could no longer play, he put his efforts into coaching the LCI girls rugby team. Steve had the ability to make many lasting friendships. All who knew him love and miss him.
He returned with honour.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, May 18, 2004, at 11:30 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Fort Macleod. Friends met the family prior to the service from 10-11:15 a.m. at the church.
Interment in the Orton Cemetery.
