Gervais, Raymond Joseph

Raymond Joseph Gervais passed away peacefully in Fort Macleod on Wednesday, Aug. 10, 2005, at the age of 79 years. Raymond was born in Estevan, Sask. on May 20, 1926. He married Clara Reinhart on June 27, 1955. They resided in Hitchcock, Sask. before moving to Fort Macleod in 1961. Raymond was employed with Estevan Industries and later Crestbrook Industries and Norfab Homes. In his spare time he enjoyed camping, fishing, playing his guitar and socializing with his friends and family. Raymond will be dearly missed by his wife of 50 years, Clara; his five children, Cheryl (Jerry), Gerry (Cyndie), Keith (Nikki), Owen and Brian (Jill); his 10 grandchildren, Corey, Kyle, Breanne, Ali, Lindsay, Nathan, Mary, Colin, Lucas and Danielle; his brothers and sisters, Aline, Joseph, Yvonne, Lawrence, Edmond, Yvette and Angeline and by numerous friends and family. Raymond was predeceased by his grandchild Tyler; his mother and father, Raoul and Regine; and by his brothers Paul and Roland. A prayer service was held at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 2618 Third Ave., Fort Macleod on Friday, Aug. 12, 2005, at 7 p.m. Funeral mass was held at Holy Cross Church on Saturday, Aug. 13, 2005, at 11 a.m. with Father A. Fermo officiating. Interment in Union Cemetery.
