Gyonyor, Sadie

Sadie Gyonyor quietly passed away at her home in the Fort Macleod Manor on Monday, Sept. 19, 2005, at the age of 83 years. Sadie was born at Smoky Lake, Alta. on March 5, 1922. As a young woman she lived and worked in and around Calgary. In 1946 she married John Gyonyor. They settled in Calgary and raised one son. In 1998 she moved to Fort Macleod to live near her son. Sadie will be remembered as a fiesty little lady who loved to talk and tell stories and also for her candor, her love of dogs and her love for her family. Sadie is survived by her son Ernest (Susan) and her two grandchildren: Daniel and Michael (Ashley). She was predeceased by her husband John, her parents and eight brothers and sisters. A prayer service was held at Eden’s Funeral Home, Fort Macleod on Friday, Sept. 23, 2005, at 7 p.m. The funeral mass was said at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Fort Macleod on Saturday, Sept. 24, 2005 at 11 a.m. with Father A. Fermo officiating. Interment took place in Rocky View Cemetery, Calgary.
