Floyd Earl Jones of Fort Macleod passed away in Lethbridge on Thursday, Jan. 27, 2005, at the age of 87 years.
Floyd was born April 1, 1917 and was raised in Sundial and then moved to a farm south of Fort Macleod. He moved into Fort Macleod in 1958.
Floyd worked for Crestwood Plywood, Department of Highways, Jerry’s Trading Post and the laundromat. He enjoyed puzzles, dancing, playing cards and also enjoyed main street and his friends while sitting in his car.
Floyd is survived by his children: Emily (Alan) Douglas, Delmer (Dell-Ann) Jones, Melvin (Janet) Jones, Gloria Betts, Yvette (Neil) Thielen and Noreen (Donald) Papp; 15 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; his sister Faye Trofanenko; his brother Raymond Jones and his many special friends.
Floyd was predeceased by his parents Elmer and Essie Jones; his brothers, Forrest Jones and Harold Jones; his sister Ruby Oseen and by two grandchildren, Clint Jordan and Rizpah Feldman.
An open house was held at the Knights of Columbus Hall, Fort Macleod on Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2005, from 1-6 p.m.
