Dora Marie Louise Lemire, beloved wife of the late Henry Lemire, was called to her eternal home on Friday, Nov. 11, 2005, at the age of 86 years. Dora was born at Pibroch, Alta. to John and Louise Lagasse on Dec. 16, 1918. She is survived by her six children, Adele (Marcus) Heck, Elaine (Dennis) Erick, Marcel (Doreen), Raymonde (Roy) Davis, Denise Chester and Rick (Blanche); 15 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; and by two sisters, Delphine Lemire of Calgary and Annette Vallieres of Fort Macleod. Dora was predeceased by her parents, John and Louise Lagasse; her brothers, Louis and Eugene Lagasse; her sister Agnes Jordan; and by her son-in-law Don Chester. Dora was a loving and compassionate mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She provided happiness and support in a warm home environment. Her door was always open to extended families and friends. Dora was a devout Catholic and was a life member of the CWL. She will be sadly missed by her family. A prayer service was held at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Fort Macleod, on Monday, Nov. 14, 2005, at 7:30 p.m. A funeral mass was concelebrated at Holy Cross Church on Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2005, at 2 p.m. with Father M. Joly and Father A. Fermo. Inurnment followed in Union Cemetery.
