Lockard, Doreen Isabel

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Doreen Isabel Lockard on Oct. 5, 2005, at the age of 68 years. Doreen was born in Fort Macleod on Oct. 9, 1936. In her profession as an executive secretary she worked for Bannister Oil in Edmonton, Mount Royal College, SAIT, and the City of Calgary. Doreen was a very generous lady with a heart of gold who tried to help everyone in need. Her motto in life was, ‘One person can make a difference,’ and she truly lived her motto. Doreen had an avid love of animals and volunteered many years for the SPCA. Doreen is lovingly remembered by her sister and brother-in-law, Allison and Gus Gunderson of Yakima, Wash. and their children, Noreen (Jack Conrad) Anderson, Denise (Chris) Svendson, all of Yakima, Wash., Dean (Cindy) Gunderson of Spokane, Wash., Rhonda (Lennie) Grinde, and Garth (Nancy

Westing) Gunderson, all of Seattle; her sister and brother-in-law Mavis and Roger Stone of Raymond and their children Lana Stone of Calgary and Alan

(Glenda) Stone of Airdrie; as well as 14 great nieces and great nephews; her special friend John Young of Calgary; and by her many friends who were like family as well. She was predeceased by her parents Orrin and Winnie Lockard of Fort Macleod
