Gordon was born in Kedelston, Sask. on Jan. 21, 1929. The family moved to Manitoba where he spent his childhood. He later moved to Bindloss, Alta. to work for several ranchers. This is where he met the love of his life, Pauline. They married in 1961 and made their home in Fort Macleod for the last 44 years. Gordon was employed by Alberta Gas Trunkline and Vanee Livestock. A major heart attack ended his trucking career, following which he worked at several vocations. He retired as a guard for the RCMP jail. Gordon was very community-minded and proud to serve with the Elks and Lions Clubs. After retirement he enjoyed volunteering to work at Royal Purple banquets, and helping neighbours. The things he cherished were family, friends, camping and golfing. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. A memorial service was held on Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2006, at 2 p.m. at Trinity United Church, with Rev. Noel Wygiera officiating.
