Truscott, Wendy Irene

Wendy Irene Truscott (nee: Brown) passed away on Sunday, Jan. 22, 2006, at her home in Fort Macleod at the age of 52 years. She is survived by her three children, Michelle (Jody Noonan), Michael (Holly Adamiak) and Sean (Debbie Doell); her father William Brown (Irene); three sisters, Linda Wells-Brown (Ted Wells), Christine Deitner, Joyce MacDonald (Jim); and her brother Wayne Brown (Ann). She also had two step-grandchildren, Coady and Ashley Doell, as well as many nieces and nephews and her friend and ex-husband Gary Truscott. Wendy was predeceased by her mother Irene Brown and her brother-in-law Wayne Deitner. Wendy was born in Swan River, Man. on Sept. 14, 1953. She worked at the Foothills Detox Centre in Fort Macleod where she had made a home for herself. She was an active member of AA and her hobbies that she loved were painting, drawing, collecting antiques her cats (Mama Kitty and Ructus) and spending plenty of time outdoors with her friends and family. Wendy¹s children were her life. Wendy was a very spiritual person who loved everybody who came into her life. Whenever Wendy entered a room her presence was always known by her everlasting smile and her unique laugh. She was always thought of as a mother to all of her children¹s friends because of her caring nature and acceptance of who they were as a person. Wendy leaves behind many loving family members, friends and co-workers whom she loved dearly. The family would like to express many heartfelt thanks to everybody who showed us unending compassion, care and understanding during this time of grief. A memorial service was held at Eden¹s Funeral Home in Fort Macleod on Thursday, Jan. 26, 2006, at 2 p.m. to celebrate the life of such a wonderful and caring woman. There was also a service in Midale, Sask. on Saturday, Jan. 28, 2006, where Wendy was laid to rest with her mother.
