Kidd, Ross

Ross Kidd was born Nov. 8, 1954 in Calgary and passed away Nov. 8, 2007 in Fort Macleod.
Ross had a very short battle with cancer. Many people admired his courage and the ability not to give up hope.
He is survived by his wife, Ellen Potvin, son, Aidan Kidd of Fort Macleod; sister, Lynn Kidd of Lloydminster; and mother, May Kidd of Fort Macleod.
He was predeceased by his father, Bob Kidd, in 2006.
Ross grew up in Calgary and held various jobs in many towns across Canada in the 1970-’80s. In 1989 he started his teaching career. He taught in Lethbridge, Pincher Creek, Fort Macleod and Parkland Colony. Ross loved to teach and spoke frequently about “his kids.” They held a special place in his heart.
Ross was known for his competitive spirit and any game was always played to be won. His opinion was known on many subjects and very seldom wavered. He loved summer and his yard. He loved to travel and would spend countless hours arranging an itinerary.
Ross stated two regrets on his last journey of his life. He would not see his son grow up and should have spent more time with family and friends.
