Boreen, Wayne Charles Andrew

Wayne Charles Andrew Boreen passed away peacefully Thursday, Dec. 25, 2008, at Fort Macleod Extendicare Fort Macleod at the age of 72 years. Wayne was born Nov. 13, 1936 in St. Paul, Minnesota. He came to Canada at six months of age to the Churchbridge, Sask. area.
Wayne is survived by his daughter Shelley Morrison (Alfred) of Tilley-Brooks, daughter Rhonda Boreen of Lethbridge, son Darren Boreen of Lethbridge; ex-wife Norma Boreen of Lethbridge; sister June Taillieu (Godfrey) of Winnipeg; sister Diane Blakely of Regina; brother Arlen Boreen (Stella) of Fernie, BC.; sister Karen Carriere (Laurie) of St. Albert; brother-in-law Gary Vanderhaege of Esterhazy, Sask.; 10 grandchildren; one great granddaughter; and numerous nieces and nephews. Wayne’s greatest joy was his grandchildren and his great granddaughter. He loved hunting, fishing and camping in his younger years. He could always be found watching sports. He especially loved hockey, baseball and Canadian football.
Wayne was predeceased by his father Hugo Boreen 1984, his mother Edna Boreen in 1996, sister Marlys Vanderhaege in 1997, brother-in-law Keith Blakely and brother-in-law Dwayne Nerbis.
