Brown, William Melvin

William Melvin (Sonny, Dusty, Bill) Brown, beloved husband of Arlene passed away peacefully at home on Monday, March 15, 2010, at the age of 79. Born in Fort Macleod in 1930 he moved to B.C. in 1963, calling Richmond home for 30 years and then Langley for his remaining years. Bill was a Vancouver Airport Firefighter for over 32 years and was involved with many groups, including PSAC, UCTE, Optimist Club, Good Sam Club, Langley Airport Museum of Flight, Mayflower Society and FSNA. He also spent many hours at the Cloverdale Raceway cheering on his favourites. Besides his loving wife Arlene, Dusty is survived by his children, Cindy of Nanaimo, Brent (Joyce) of Richmond, Allan (Elizabeth) of Salt Spring Island and Kathy (Jim) of Abbotsford; grandchildren, Rob (Christine), Jennifer (Doug), Michael (Laura), Shannon, Jeff, Andy, Caitlin and Meghan; great grandchildren, Michael, Braden, Allyssa, and Rylan; brother David (Claire) of Calgary and many other relatives and friends. A celebration of life will be held on Sturday, March 27 from 2–4 p.m. at the Canadian Museum of Flight, 5333 216th St., Langley Airport, Langley B.C
