Sopher, Lori (nee Olson)

Lori Louise Sopher (nee Olson) of Fort Macleod, passed away peacefully Thursday, Oct. 28 after her courageous battle with cancer.
Lori is survived by her loving husband Murray of 27 years; her sons Damon (Bianca), Tyler (Jennifer) and Travis; and beloved grandsons Delaney and Sumner.
Also left to mourn Lori’s passing are her three sisters, five brothers, “the in-laws,” numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, nephews and extended family.
Lori was predeceased by her parents Gerry and Harold Olson in 2003.
Born on Feb. 8, 1956, Lori lived much of her life in Calgary, Lynn Lake, Man. and Kamloops, B.C. Most recently Lori returned to Fort Macleod to re-establish her roots.
Wherever Lori lived she was always generous with her time and talents, active with charities such as the Kinettes and Lion’s clubs.
Lori’s family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at the Tom Baker Cancer Centre, and Dr. Beekman and nurses of the Palliative Care Unit in Fort Macleod for their care.
A celebration of Lori’s life was held on Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2010, at 1 p.m. at Eden’s Funeral Chapel, 2424 Fifth Ave., Fort Macleod,
