Donna Jolene Collar passed away peacefully at her home in Nanaimo, B.C. on Sunday, Sept. 11, 2011.
Donna was born Nov. 22, 1937 in Fort Macleod and lived there until moving to Boswell, B.C. and then on to Nanaimo, B.C.
Donna is predeceased by her parents Joe and Myrtle Collar; sister-in-law Kathy Collar; first husband Garry Stockton; and second husband Ernest Abramenko, all of Fort Macleod.
Donna is survived by her brother Bud Collar of Lethbridge; daughter Karen (Jim) Sharanowski of Nanaimo; granddaughter Aron Walsh; and great grandchildren Don and Kaytie Walsh, all of Calgary.
Donna enjoyed working for CIBC in Fort Macleod through to her retirement. She loved all animals, expecially her cats and spent most of her leisure time camping and fishing with family and friends.
Donations may be made in lieu of flowers to the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 46, Fort Macleod.
