School enrollment down but less than projected

Enrollment in Livingstone Range School Division continues to decline but the numbers are better than projected.
Trustees on Oct. 11 viewed the enrollment figures as of Sept. 30.
The actual enrollment is 3,616 full-time equivalent students, which is up 165.5 from the projected number but down 53.5 students from Sept. 30, 2010.
The amount of funding provided by the provincial government is based on the 3,616 full-time equivalent students.
The enrollment numbers of full-time equivalent students as of Sept. 30 are:
Fort Macleod

  • W.A. Day school — 168.5 students, 44.5 more than projected and 20 more than last year.
  • G.R. Davis school — 144 students, five more than projected and seven less than last year.
  • F.P. Walshe school – 336 students, one more than projected and 17 less than last year.
  • Walshe Crossroads Central — 72 students, 34 more than projected and 33 more than last year.
  • Granum

  • Granum school — 59.5 students, 3.5 more than projected and 29.5 less than last year.
  • Claresholm

  • West Meadow elementary — 291 students, 18 more than projected and seven more than last year.
  • Willow Creek Composite – 432 students, 18 more than projected and 12 less than last year.
  • Outreach North — 20 students, the same as projected and five more than last year.
  • Stavely

  • Stavely elementary — 47.5 students, the same as projected and two less than last year.
  • Nanton

  • A.B. Daley school — 208.5 students, 11 more than projected and 3.5 less than last year.
  • J.T. Foster school – 207 students, six more than projected and three more than last year.
  • Pincher Creek

  • Canyon school — 273.5 students, 12.5 more than projected and 34.5 less than last year.
  • Matthew Halton school – 339 students, four more than projected and two more than last year.
  • Napi Outreach school — 21 students, one more than projected and seven more than last year.
  • Lundbreck

  • Livingstone school – 196.5 students, 7.5 more than projected and eight less than last year.
  • Crowsnest Pass

  • Horace Allen school – 148.5 students, 3.5 more than projected and 10.5 more than last year.
  • Isabelle Sellon school — 123 students, one less than projected and 20 less than last year.
  • Crowsnest Consolidated school — 317 students, three more than projected and one less than last year.
  • Colony schools

  • A total of 211.5 students, six less than projected and 6.5 less than last year
